Summer 2014 Update
Pool Design article by Genesis Staff
In the April 25, 2014 issue of Pool and Spa News, Editorial Director, Erika Taylor’s column spoke about the need for a younger generation to enter the architecture, construction and engineering trades. She referenced the Hartford Business Journal stating that the construction industry alone is looking at a deficit of 2 million employees by 2016. While this may not be new information, it is something that that the pool and spa industry needs to be aware of. Genesis understands this deficit and offers the unparalleled education taught on a level that even the most novices of employees could learn and take back to their company. Techniques, if properly implemented, can improve their businesses; design notions for clients, learning the proper use of software, to updating their engineering concepts for greater efficiency, the ideas are endless.
We set the standard apart by receiving third-party accreditation. IACET, the International Association of Continuing Education & Training requires Genesis to maintain records on students and instructors, regularly review our programming for industry integrity all after completing a rigorous ANSI standard application process. These techniques have set the standard to also receive continuing education approval from ASLA for Landscape Architects, for those looking to fulfill their PDH hours, as well as a number of Genesis courses that will be presented at the Pool | Spa | Patio Expo are approved for Florida continuing educational credit with the Construction Industry Licensing Board (CILB).
In the next few weeks, the 3rd edition of the Genesis University Catalog will be released. Within that catalog, you will see the extensive programming along with our current calendar of events, accreditations and memberships and course approvals. We look forward to seeing you soon.
